Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:
I am the shop supervisor where I work but much of my duties are much the same as the others in the shop.
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
Developing plans with our local Toastmasters club to determine how we would meet our DCP goals for the upcoming year. Working with clubs and the division director in planning for the goals for the Area and Division.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
My only experience in finance would be in the area of personal finance and planning and executing a household budget.
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
The importance of maintaining regular communication with other leaders, planning ahead, and working with others to implement the plans.
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
Having spent a year and a half as Area Director, I’d like the opportunity to push my bounderies further. I’ve learned a lot in the role of Area Director and would like to continue to do so.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
The major objectives of the district would be the need to add and retain members and help members adjust to the changes brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. I would try to achieve this by finding out what is working and can be implemented by the various clubs.
Additional information about yourself:
I work as a welder and enjoy as hobbies computers and bowling. I would consider myself an introvert most of the time with an intellectual bent towards science and logic. I would rather watch documentaries than dramas, and prefer humor over horror for entertainment.
