Dorothy Bell holds a Bachelor Degree in Business and Master’s Degree from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. She is a Georgia State licensed Real Estate Broker and has over 25-years-experience in affordable housing, development, construction management, and government program compliance. Her experience includes working with government housing and subsidy programs including Low Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME, Tax Exempt Bonds, Neighborhood Stabilization (NSP), Section 8 and various Government Programs. Dorothy currently serves as the Lead Construction Project Manager and Program Specialist for the Georgia State Department of Community Affairs where she manages over 1.2 billion dollars in multifamily development across the state of Georgia. She has presented and represented the Georgia Department of Community Affairs at conferences, workshops, and public hearings. She also holds a Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) Designation and has successfully competed at district level competition for Humorously Speaking, and Table Topics Contests. Her motto is “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
